Who We Are

Vision, Mission, Values

Trained volunteers from the religious community are available to assist people of all faiths by listening actively and providing encouragement without judgement based on the best practices of The National Voluntary Organization Active in Disaster (NVOAD) for spiritual and emotional care in times of crisis.

Our Mission

The Keystone Disaster Spiritual Care Network (KDSCN) trains, credentials, and deploys volunteers to provide spiritual care to those Pennsylvania communities affected by any type of disaster. KDSCN increases people's resilience in disaster by helping them tap into their spiritual core.

Our Vision

Disaster survivors in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are strengthened in their progress toward recovery with the help of sensitive, appropriate, and ethically responsible spiritual care.

Our Values

• Spiritual perspectives are a source of strength in difficult times.

• Affirmation of all individuals’ dignity and intrinsic value.

• Commitment to understanding an individual’s own spirituality as their core healing center.
